Features:
Lightweight: Its specific gravity is only half that of ordinary
glass, and it is not easy to break. It saves time and effort in
transportation and installation, and is especially suitable for use
in tall buildings.
Good light transmittance: The colorless and transparent
polycarbonate hollow board can provide excellent transparency and
surface gloss, while the colored board can block the stronger parts
of the sunlight, making the passing light softer.
Excellent sound insulation performance: It can effectively reduce
noise and is one of the preferred materials for highway sound
barriers.
Thermal insulation and heat preservation: It has a lower thermal
conductivity (K value) than ordinary glass and other plastics,
which greatly reduces heat loss. It is used in buildings with
heating equipment and is an environmentally friendly material.
Strong impact resistance: Polycarbonate (PC) is the thermoplastic
with the best impact resistance. The hollow board made of PC can
maintain good impact resistance for a long time within a relatively
wide temperature range and is known as "unbreakable glass" and
"sound steel".
Anti-condensation: Under normal circumstances, when the outdoor
temperature is 0℃ and the indoor temperature is 23℃, as long as the
indoor relative humidity is below 80%, the surface of the material
will not condense.
Flame retardant and fireproof: It has excellent fire resistance.
Tested by the National Fireproof Building Materials Supervision
Center, it meets the GB8624-1997 standard and reaches the
difficult-to-burn B1 grade. The ignition point of the board itself
is 630℃. During the combustion process, it will not produce toxic
gases, will not contribute to the spread of fire, and will
self-extinguish after being removed from the fire source.
Good chemical resistance: It can resist the erosion of various
organic acids, vegetable oils, neutral salt solutions, aliphatic
hydrocarbons and alcohols at room temperature. However,
polycarbonate sheets are soluble in chlorinated alkanes, slightly
soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons and ketones, can be destroyed by
alkali, and will swell in thinner and methanol.
Excellent weather resistance: The surface usually has a
high-concentration UV co-extruded anti-ultraviolet layer, which can
block ultraviolet rays from passing through, protect indoor
objects, extend the service life of the board, and is less likely
to cause yellowing, fogging and other phenomena due to long-term
exposure outdoors
